By accessing or using ToolkitFree ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of Service

ToolkitFree provides free, browser-based tools for processing files — including image conversion, compression, resizing, and background removal. All processing occurs entirely within your web browser using client-side technologies such as the Canvas API and WebAssembly. No files are uploaded to our servers at any point during the use of our tools.

3. Privacy & Data Processing

Your files never leave your device. All file processing is performed locally in your browser. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any files you process using our tools. When you close the browser tab, all processed data is permanently gone.

The only data we may collect is standard, anonymized website analytics (such as page views, browser type, and referring URLs) through third-party services like Google Analytics. We do not use this data to identify individual users. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

4. Regulatory Compliance

ToolkitFree is designed to comply with internationally recognized privacy and data protection standards, including:

  • EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — Since no personal data or files are collected or processed by our servers, the core obligations under GDPR related to data processing are inherently satisfied. No data processing agreement is required because no data is processed server-side.
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — We do not sell, share, or process personal information. The rights granted under CCPA (access, deletion, opt-out) are not applicable because we do not hold any personal data.
  • ePrivacy Directive — We use only essential cookies required for site functionality and third-party advertising cookies. You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

This compliance is not a policy choice — it is a direct consequence of our technical architecture. By processing all files locally in the browser, we eliminate the need to handle your data entirely.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and code on ToolkitFree are the property of ToolkitFree or its licensors. You may use the tools provided for personal and commercial purposes, but you may not reproduce, redistribute, or resell the ToolkitFree website, code, or branding without prior written permission.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service. You are solely responsible for the content of the files you process using our tools and must ensure you have the legal right to process such files.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ToolkitFree shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service may display advertisements from third-party networks, including Google AdSense, and may link to third-party websites. These third parties have their own terms and privacy policies, and ToolkitFree is not responsible for their practices.

10. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms of Service periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
